The Murly Tuck was brought to life by Edyta and Łukasz, who poured their passion for good food and warm service into creating a café where everyone feels welcome. What began as a dream to share homemade flavours and European-inspired dishes with the local community quickly became a Tarves staple.
From early-morning coffees to lazy lunches and afternoon treats, Edyta and Łukasz bring their care and attention to every detail — from the ingredients they choose to the smiles they share. Their friendly team makes sure every visit feels like catching up with old friends.
What does “Murly Tuck” mean?
Children who lived in the farm cottages back in the early part of the century in our village ate the murly tuck.
A reminder that the simplest things — good food, warmth, and community — are often the most memorable.

I don’t know why we haven’t visited before now! We had a fab lunch yesterday at the Murly Tuck. Such a cosy and quaint wee cafe with friendly and efficient staff. Great menu, loads of homebakes to choose from and delicious coffee. We enjoyed the croque madame with pastrami and a cheese scone. We were too full up for cake but we will definitely be back. Would highly recommend.
If you’re in Tarves, make a beeline for the Murley Tuck! Seriously, their croque madame is legendary – that perfect soft egg yolk is a dream. And don’t even get me started on the French toast with fresh berries and the brilliant avocado toast. Plus, the friendly service just tops it all off. Highly recommend!
Holy cow… The best vanilla latte ever, fantastic french toast and the best breakfast… Bloody brilliant and super friendly staff…. Shame it’s 500 miles away!
